The grammar of the Ukrainian language, like most Slavic grammars, does not distinguish between the perfect and simple tense of the verb. Let’s give pairs of such verbs for example: | |||||
| The example in the given table shows that, unlike other grammars, Slavic grammar can do without auxiliary parts of speech to use a perfect verb form. Orally, people understand their difference, but grammar does not define it. This state of Ukrainian grammar complicates the study of the language by foreigners who are used to a more precise definition of grammatical forms. | ||||
One would think that there are not enough linguists who would solve this
shortcoming, if not for regular innovations in the Ukrainian language.
All of them come down to the appearance of new words, for example ”гелікоптер”
(helicopter). This word is a borrowing from English, what is language pollution.
They hope to replace the word ”вертоліт” (helicopter) with it, the problem of
which is its similarity to the Russian ”вертолёт” (helicopter). Although in fact
the disadvantage of the word ”вертоліт” (helicopter) is that it does not carry
the principle of operation of this device. To fly an airplane, you also need to
turn (spin) the propeller or the blades of the turbine to move forward in order
to create a lift force on the wings. An appropriate name is the already existing
word ”гвинтокрил” (rotorcraft) which is compiled like ”wing+spinner”
in Ukrainian. It indicates that helicopter blades are wings that themselves
create a lift force.
Why do ”experts” from linguistics repeat the decline of the Ukrainian language, which it suffered during the years of the establishment of Soviet power. Then the native word ”ломець” was replaced by the word ”радикуліт” (radiculitis), and the geometry term ”тетіва” (bowstring) was replaced by ”хорда” (clone from the English chord) for the straight line that lies between 2 points of the arc. Foreign words crawled like toadstools after the rain, despite the fact that we cannot give up Slavic words that are similar to Russian ones. It destroys language. The brain of a Ukrainian is clogged with the memorization of foreign words that do not have a native root. First of all, the language of Ukrainians, the main descendants of Kievan Rus, must preserve the heritage of their native culture and language, without looking back to see if it resembles something from other descendants. Ukrainization of Ukraine is much more than replacing consonant words with Russian ones. |
